So if you are here then you came to find out more about Derek. I'm thrilled....it's nice to know that strangers are interested in knowning my children. So here comes Derek's life.....

Derek was born on July 20, 1975 and as you can guess, he just had a birthday. Since he doesn't live in the same city as me, my daughter and I called to sing "Happy Birthday" to him, but he wasn't home so now he has our awful singing voices on his machine...LOL!!

Derek was born in Ottawa, at the Grace Hospital and weighed in at 6 lbs 11 oz. (one ounze less than his older brother Jason). He was a good kid and didn't have as much difficulty toilet training as Jason did. He learned quickly and besides he didn't like running around nude. Well, Jason is 6 feet tall now and Derek is 6 feet and 4 inches.

He is really taller than Jason now, but Jason has more weight so when then wrestle, Derek is the one that usually ends up being hurt.

Derek's name means "Valley of Light" Middle English
and also "Famous Ruler" .
A storm of emotions in a calm exterior.
You raise people's spirits from high to low.
Educational pursuits are most important.
A fondness for the mountains will emerge.
A solid family background keeps you on a solid moral ground.
You must guard against deals "too-good to-be-true".

Derek's biggest love is cars. He loves 5.0 Mustangs.

I tried to find pictures on the web of them but can't find any good ones. I guess the guys that own them - either don't want to show them off or there are just no good 5.0 Mustang sites out there. I will keep looking though, I love to surf the web and created this site with everything I have. More about me later.

Well, Derek works for a living....that's pretty good. He lives in British Columbia- very far from our home town. He went out here to start a new life and as well because it's so beautiful. He had his own apartment with everything he needs. Almost everything....still wants a brand new 5.0 Mustang parked outside...but I guess that will come in time. He did move back to Ottawa to retrain in computers though and I thought he may stay then, but the West drew him back again. Also could be the fact that he has a young son "Tristian" who lives out there.

Notes from Mom

As previously stated (just in case you came in another way), I am starting a journal on all the children of this family. Why?? I want them to know that I love them and always will unconditionally and as a task of love for me - for them to always have- either in Cyberspace or on a disk....either way - it will be something from me to them forever.

I have lots of pictures of him as a kid as well, but I didn't want to have this site take forever to load. So each kid gets one picture and it will be the lastest I have. The one above is the latest .

He is a very fortunate young man. He has survived a car accident that everyone said he shouldn't have survived but he did. I will be adding updates about Derek.

Whenever they have girlfriends, It's like gaining an extra daughter.....I'll probably gain quite a few having 3 boys!!

Guess I'll be picking up a new son when Jennifer marries as well...boy- this family will be growing...then grandchildren....so it goes on and on.


This journal will be a record of their lives so they can someday show it to their children and their grandchildren and so on.

Updates

Derek was in school retraining for a career in computers. He had almost completed the course but headed back West before he did.

Derek has a son. This makes me a Grandmother. *S*
