About Jason

Jason was born on August 30, 1972 and weighed in at 6 lbs.12 ozs. He wasn't a big baby by today's terms but he was healthy enough.
He was the first born of this family and the first son.  He's done a lot of things over the years. I always mention that although he wasn't difficult to toilet train, he sure had a funny way of learning it.

He had this thing about training pants or diapers....if they were on, he'd use them but left without them, he would use the washroom. This meant he spent a lot of time naked as a toddler.  This did get him into some funny situations. He loved the school bus and couldn't wait to start school. He did attempt to try too early to board the bus and I guess being naked was a give away that he didn't belong on the bus....so he was brought back home.

He was also a terrible wanderer but as a child, this made things difficult for me but I always managed to find him.  His knowledge of tips at 3 years old was nil, so I picked up that whatever direction his bike was parked in....was where he had headed. I was right and always found him.

Jason's name means "Healer"

Things Jason Likes

Jason likes many things....but I'll try and narrow it down.  Jason loves his music and while living with me his answering machine always has a song playing before you heard his message. It irritated me, but his friends liked it and so did he.  He changed the songs often, depending on his mood....so there's always a variety you can expect to hear when you call.

He loved women.  He dated so many that I would be unable to name them all but he finally settled down to just one. She is the one....so I guess he'll end up marrying her and giving me lots of grandchildren. I have threatened to seek the "Parents Revenge"...a joke that I tell them all. I say "I'll be happy to babysit all of your children any time...but I plan on giving them lots of candy, chocolates and pepsi...to make sure that when you pick them up that they are wired". I think that this is the ultimate in parents getting even with their children. He personally doesn't think I'll do it...but one can never be sure with me.

Things Jason does

One of the major things he's done was pose for the Ottawa Sun and became the Sunshine Boy. I went out and bought out three stores of their Ottawa Sun's on the day he appeared and kept them all.
He's got the prints from the photo shoot and he should be thankful, I didn't put that picture in here because he was posed in his underwear.


My favorite thing that Jason has done was to win me all kinds of prizes at a baseball game. I had won two tickets to an Ottawa Baseball game and with the prize was several little extras. One was a baseball hat (I still have that cause I'm a pack rat), a country cassette (I love the new country music and really loved the tape). But then I also won a chance to win a walkman. I and three others would be given 4 chances to catch 4 pop flys from across the field. The one with the most catches would win the Walkman.  I explained how ill I was to the radio station and asked if I could bring a substitute and they agreed. Well,it was an easy win for me because Jason caught all four and I immediately won the walkman. The part I loved the most though was that every time Jason got ready to catch a ball, the announcer would yell "Here's Jason- catching for his mom", and when he'd catch it - he'd annonce"Well Jason caught another ball for his mom ". I was beaming all the while and loved every moment of it. It was sure a good thing that I asked me to be my substitute because he's good at sports.


Another major thing that almost happened was he was contacted by Jerry Springer's Show to appear as a guest on "I have a Secret Admirer". He was going to go...but I thought it too suspicious that they had asked about his chain...it's a large gold chain that holds a link that says "Dog House". I had watched Jerry Springer enough times to know that Jerry likes to do surprise shows and felt he was going to be on one of those suprise shows and that it wouldn't be about having a Secret Admirer. Oh, well, so he missed going on Jerry Springer. Instead he went to Daytona Beach for March break and had a great time until someone got shot there. They had to return early so he didn't get all the fun he wanted. He has pictures of every trip and every event - all the proms he's attended and some parties. These he keeps away from public viewing.  Does he sound like he may have a "Pack Rat" habit?  LOL!!!

We've spent a lot of time together and had some great talks. He knows I love him (I hope LOL!!) He gave me a card about that and I put it up for Mother's Day.

He knows I'm sick but I don't really think he understand much about CFS.

Jason's Dad

Jason's dad was a school teacher for most of his life. He grew up in the Maritimes, in New Brunswick and has a cottage there.
Jason and his brother have been there lots and I guess someday, it will be theirs, but for now, his dad and his new wife, Joan go for a few weeks every summer. His grandparents used it all the time, but his grandmother died this year at the same time as his Uncle Dennis, his dad's sister's husband. He had several kidney transplants and they didn't work, so Jason's Aunt Patsy lost her husband very young.

Jason has two brothers. Derek and Jason have the same father and after I remarried, I had two more children, giving Jason another brother named Ryan (and a sister, Jennifer). You can find out more about his brothers by visiting their sites.

He only has one sister - thank God!!

He loves women, but not when they are his sister. It's like having to be a guard dog....always on duty trying to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid that she'll later regret.

This is the important part since this part contains all new information.

Jason is married now has a wonderful wife who he adores. Since I believe in soul mates, I would say this is definitely his. I've just heard that Jason is expecting his first child.

I'm very happy at last. I am very happy for him as well. I love to see my children happy
