About Me
Hi, my name is Kris and I'm my dad's oldest child and only son - so that
makes me very special to him. I was born August 11, 1988 and weighed in
at 10 lbs. Guess I was a pretty big baby!
My dad is an excellent father and I now live with him and Carol. I have
my own room and Carol decorated it in black and white (my only other choice
was blue - so I went with the black and white).
Dad and her hung a whole bunch of posters of teams in my room.
Right now I want to grow up to be a scientist and dad says I sure have
the brain for it....I can even count faster than Carol he! he!.

A Picture of Me
This is the latest one I have but every
year I get new school pictures and I have a special frame in my room that
holds most of the ones I've gotten so far. Dad always changes my pictures
in the house and his office whenever I get a new one and since I get new
ones every year at school - he changes them lots and you'll get to see
each change every year if you come back and visit. Pic for 2000.

What My Name Means
"One who carries Christ in his Heart"
Local orgin of name: English
From the Greek root name of "Christopher"
A sensible person with sensible emotions.
A lover of nature. Kristopher will never be far from the wilderness.
Adept in financial matters.
A survivor, he will always bounce back and be ready again.

My favorite Sport
My favorite sports are football and hockey. My favorite hockey team is
the "Ottawa Senators" and my second favorite team is the "The
Toronto Maple Leafs".
I have both of their jersey's and wear them to games....especially when
I'm at a Senators' game - then I wear my jersey and my hat because I'm
a loyal fan.
My favorite player is Daniel Alferson who plays for the "The Ottawa
Senators". When we visited dad in California, I got to see where the
movie, Mighty Ducks" was made and where the team plays. That was a
thrill.

Things I Do
I first started to play football for the South Gloucester Raiders, then I played for
the West Ottawa Vikings. Now I play for the Bell Warriors. My dad used to play football as a teenager, so
he helps a lot with moves and rules and all kinds of stuff. I enjoy practising
with him and learning.

My Football Picture
My football number was 25 and I played offensive tackle when I played for
the South Gloucester Raiders. Now I play for the West Ottawa Vikings and
my number is 75. That's why Carol changed my background set to show our
colors and my new number.

Things I Collect
Well, my dad started me collecting the comic book series called "Spectacular
Spiderman" and now I have a very large collection because he adds
four new comics a week. My collection is already valuable but dad says
that when I'm older it will be really valuable and I can pass it down to
my children.
My dad is trying to teach me to hold on to things because it seems many
parents in his day didn't keep all the stuff - so he had a large collection
of comics and cards and now they are all gone, so I'm lucky dad is helping
me to keep my stuff. I have tons of pictures and my mom has movies of my
life from when I was really small til last year. She sold the Camcorder
so I guess there won't be any more movies of us as we grow.
I think that's why Carol started this web site for all of us. It's like
a journal and we'll be able to have it for later on. She's a pack rat so
she keeps everything. I think her parents didn't keep her stuff either
so she ensures that everyone has all kinds of things that she keeps and
packs and saves. Lucky for us, she's a pack rat he he

My Dad
I love my dad a lot and I'm really happy that we spend so much time together.
We're going on a vacation together on August 1st until August 10th. We'll
be staying at Calabogie Peaks - a huge resort that's really nice and we'll
be visiting Logo's Land (a water slide park) and some other nice places.
It's only a 30 minute drive from where we're staying to Logo's Land so
that's not too far away. He also took us on a vacation to see my dad when
he was working in California. We went to DisneyLand and the San Diego Zoo.
We sure had a good time and have lots of pictures. If you want to visit
him...you can find him at his web space -
Warrior Poet's World

My Mom
My mom is neat she was a life guard and has taught us both to swin. We're
really good at it now. If you want to know more about my mom, she lives
here too.
Just go visit her at
Karen's Seaside Shores

My Sister
I have one sister and her name is Jessica and if you want to know more
about her you can visit her site at
Jessica's Place.

Some Notes About Me
Although most fathers love their
children the same, there always seems to be different bonds between a father
and son and a father and daughter. Since Kris is his only son - Doug's
bond is very special with Kris and he ensures that he keeps that bond.
They share all kinds of the same interests and you should see when football
season is on.....they're always watching every game. His bond with Kris
is definitely a healthy father/son bond and he gives them all the attention
and affection they need.
Jessica is his little angel. He knows that little girls grow up wanting
to marry someone just like their father, so he's thrilled at that prospect. He
changed his life around when his children were born. The new Bob Carlisle
song called "Butterfly kisses", brings him to tears. It's about
a father watching his daughter grow up and eventually marry. It's a beautiful
song and because of the lyrics, Doug gets all mushy when he hears it -
knowing that some day his little girl will no longer be given him "Butterfly
kisses". He does lots with both of his children. He has taken Kris
to hockey games and when Jessica doesn't want to go - he then takes her
on a special outing. The last one was called a date. Since he would be
meeting her after work, he'd be dressed in his suit, so he asked her to
get all dressed up so they could go on a father/daughter date. No McDonalds
- a very fancy restaurant. He constantly does things with his kids and
I get amazed at how much he loves them and how much effort he puts into
being a good parent and participating in their lives. Divorce is very hard
on kids, but Doug's have adjusted well because of the way he is. He may
not be living with the kids, but they know that he is still a part of their
lives. Jessican comes and stays here every second weekend and then Kris
goes to his mothers every second weekend. This means both families get
a break from the children 2 weekends a month and it seems to be working
very well as each parent now has more patience and more understanding when
the children are with them.
They are very lucky and they know it. We make a big issue out of birthdays,
Christmas, Easter and other holidays, telling them how lucky they are to
get two of everything. They always agree.

This is
my journal for 1997
I got rollerblades and all the equipment
needed - pads and helmet and I loves rollerblading now. I'm very good at
it and I seem like a natural. I love to rollerblade with my friends.
I saved all my money and decided
that I wanted to buy a Football since I could then practise at home. Since
I've been earning the money, dad wanted to ensure I spent it on something
worthwhile, so when I chose a football, dad said it was okay. We went out
and practised on the weekend.
Dad took us to the movies and we
saw "Men in Black".
It was a really funny movie and we got some junk food to eat there and
bring home. Every weekend dad barbeques and cooks us hot dogs and hamburgers. Jessie
likes hot dogs and I like hamburgers. Carol eats hamburgers too but Dad
is back to dieting so he had chicken.
Dad took us on a vacation for a
week. We stayed at Calabogie Peaks and went to Logos Land (they have really
neat water slides and we also went to StoryLand. It was a great vacation
and we had a great time. We're going to do it again next year.
I played a big game of football on Saturday and always comes to my games
and practises. We won the game and I was really excited and so was dad.
We went out and practised some football moves later on in the day. Jessie
went and bought me a birthday present - it was a Batman figure and when
you take off his cloak, he turns into Bruce Wayne. I really liked that.
In August 1997, Dad took us on a vacation for a week. We stayed at Calabogie
Peaks and went to Logos Land (they have really neat water slides and we

Last year for Christmas I got all kinds of great stuff. I got all kinds
of hockey equipment and lots of toys. I also got a lot of other things
as well. I also got a big hockey game to play and my Dad and I play it
lots. It's nice because we have two Christmas's - one with Dad and one
with Mom,
so we end up with lots of gifts.

a week and we played games every Saturday. We won some and lost some but
we had fun. At the end of the season, we had a big banquet and got trophies
for different things. I won two trophies (one for being the best offensive
lineman.
For Christmas this year, I asked for lots of toys this year and I got everything
I asked for. As well, I got a bunch of gifts from my mom, my grandmother
and other people. I like having two Christmas's cause I get a lot more
stuff now.
